Activities

Implementing Partners

These partners work with USAID/East Africa to achieve its health objectives in the region.

  • East Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA) - formerly known as the Commonwealth Regional Health Community Secretariat (CRHCS) - Intergovernmental, policy-making body established to foster and encourage cooperation in health in East, Central and Southern Africa.
  • Family Health International (FHI) - One of the largest nonprofits organizations working to improve lives worldwide through research, education and services in family health.
  • Regional Centre For Quality of Health Care (RCQHC) - Provides leadership in building regional capacity to improve the quality of health care through networking, strategic partnerships, education, training and research. The African Network for the Care of Children Affected by HIV/AIDS (ANECCA), based at RCQHC, brings together clinicians and social scientists to find ways of improving the quality of clinical and non-clinical care of children with HIV/AIDS in the Africa region.
  • AfriComNet - Brings together over 500 strategic communication professionals from 35 countries to address professional standards and communication issues related to AIDS and reproductive health.
