- Chemonics - By promoting meaningful change around the world Chemonics helps people live healthier, more productive, and more independent lives.
- East and Central Africa Global Competitiveness Hub – One of four trade hubs established by USAID to assist African businesses in taking better advantage of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA)
- Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) - An international, nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing learning, promoting health, and fostering a deeper understanding of the world.
- IGAD Climate Prediction and Application Center (ICPAC)
- Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) – Organization focused on drought control and development initiatives
- International Peace Building Alliance (INTERPEACE) – Works with local partners in divided societies to build lasting peace.
- International Republican Institute (IRI) is a US-based international NGO implementing activities to strengthen election and organizational skills of political parties in Somaliland and southern Sudan.
- Mercy Corps – Works amid disasters, conflicts, chronic poverty and instability to unleash the potential of people who can win against nearly impossible odds.
- National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a nonprofit organization working to strengthen and expand democracy worldwide.
- UNDP/Somalia - Helping Somalis to bring peace where there is conflict, development in place of destruction, hope where there is despair, and to believe that there is a better future for them and for their children.
- UNICEF/Somalia – UNICEF's programmes in Somalia cover health and nutrition, water supply, sanitation and hygiene and basic education, child protection, HIV/AIDS and youth development.
