This activity works to build the capacity of the RCQHC as a leader in providing technical assistance and training in health, in developing and issuing health learning materials, and in promoting health-networking activities to address health care issues in East, Central and Southern Africa.  Through this activity, technical assistance is provided to train health managers, improve and revise curricula, develop health learning materials and distribute information. RCQHC promotes the prevention and control of major infectious diseases, including malaria and tuberculosis; improves child survival, health and nutrition; improves maternal health and nutrition; supports family planning; works to reduce the transmission and impact of HIV/AIDS and addresses other health vulnerabilities such as gender based violence and fistula.
