USAID/EA thanks USAID and State Department colleagues in Nairobi, Washington, and other destinations, and many implementing partners and colleagues from the private sector and civil society, who helped make the recent African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Forum held in Nairobi a resounding success.  Special thanks go to the Government of Kenya, the official host for the AGOA Forum.  U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton provided remarks at the Forum’s opening ceremony, held a press conference during the Forum with Kenya’s Foreign Minister, and with her impressive U.S. delegation, helped to elevate the importance of and visibility for this important regional trade-focused gathering.
