Conflict Mitigation

USAID is bringing together community elders from different ethnic groups to discuss the benefits of peace and how to stop escalating violence.

‘Since it’s establishment, and its focus on cross-border pastoral conflicts, CEWARN has succeeded in bringing to light the hitherto unmonitored heavy loss of human lives and loss of livestock taking place.’ (Dr. Attalla H. Bashir, Executive Secretary of IGAD)
